ABSTRACT

This chapter incorporates a detailed study of the rhetorical discourse through which official propaganda manipulated Kazakhstani neo-evraziistvo. Presenting this study’s main results is instrumental in examining a critical process, namely the integration of foreign policy-making and nation-building. The discussion of the dynamics that supported the Kazakhstani leadership in its efforts to assimilate regime neo-Eurasianism within key domestic political process constitutes an indispensable step towards the achievement of another of the book’s main analytical ends, namely the identification of the driving forces of operational neo-Eurasianism.
