ABSTRACT

Transmedia is generally defi ned as the practice of spreading content over multiple delivery channels, such as fi lm, television, mobile devices, books, magazines, online platforms, etc., in order to create a more immersive experience for the audience. Th is allows the viewers to enter the story-world through multiple media platforms and story “entry points,” expanding on the characters, story, and themes of the main narrative. A transmedia project will usually allow for some level of audience participation and interactivity, whether only to comment and exchange information, or to actively partake and contribute to the project.
