ABSTRACT
Achieving a lasting prosperity relies on providing capabilities for people to ourish – within certain limits. Those limits are not determined by us, but by the ecology and resources of a nite planet. Unbounded freedom to expand our material appetites just isn’t sustainable. Governance is needed if we are to chart a path between rival dystopias and nd a sustainable balance between aspiration and constraint.
