ABSTRACT
The first edition of Introducing Leadership was written in 2006. A lot has happened since then. The massive economic downturn in 2008 is perhaps the most significant, from the point of view of organisational leadership, but our perceptions of leadership and its role in enabling organisations to be successful has also changed, and changed quite significantly. This second edition is a result of all that. It isn’t a revised edition, but is largely a completely new book; a few passages have more or less survived but most of the book has been written from scratch, with a new structure and a new perspective, based on my own experience, my reading and my research over the last nine years.
