ABSTRACT
Workplaces these days are full of teams – or to be precise, are full of work groups called teams. There’s far more to teams and team working than simply taking a group of people, giving them a day’s ‘team-building’ activity and renaming them as a team. In this chapter we will look at the difference between ‘groups’ and ‘teams’, the role of leadership in creating teams and getting them to work together effectively.
