ABSTRACT

With today’s more rigorous college and career readiness standards students are required to move beyond just acquisition of factual knowledge and development of basic procedural fluency. Developing conceptual understanding to a deeper level is the challenge for today’s teachers and students. However,

there is still a place and need for both factual knowledge and procedural fluency. Providing many diverse opportunities for students to experience engaging review allows students to develop fluencies and maintain their basic knowledge of key concepts.
