ABSTRACT
My first meeting with Francis took place on the day of an official visit to London Lighthouse by Diana, the Princess of Wales. I had returned home from my holidays the previous week to be met with an urgent message explaining that an unexpected royal itinerary had been planned for the following Thursday. The schedule was to include a visit to music therapy, Diana having shown an interest in meeting some clients who would be prepared to share with her their experiences in therapy. The morning itself was intense; the room had to be re-arranged and the clients, Charles and Tony, who had agreed to meet Diana, became extremely nervous, as did I. The atmosphere was fraught with tension.
