ABSTRACT
Throughout the conference numerous suggestions were made for further research needed to improve our ability to develop sound energy R&D policies. The recommended topics dealt with deficiencies or gaps in our present knowledge about the energy sector in general, about energy R&D in particular, about the alternatives to government funding of energy R&D, and about the process or procedures involved in formulating energy R&D policies.
