ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the two diverse and disparate systems that make up the core didactics of the book. The Enneagram system and classic story structure principles are reviewed and the natural connection between the two systems is introduced to the reader. The layout and section descriptions of the book are given, as well as a detailed examination of who should read this book and how they will benefit. Along with detailed descriptions of the numerous appendices, backmatter resources, and previews on “what’s next” in the reading experience, the author sets the reader up for the significance of the material to come in the context of writers and the job they do.
