ABSTRACT

This chapter explores what successful wellbeing may look like in the workplace, based on the practical knowledge and experiences gained by others, many of whom are corporate giants. Evidence-based advice on how to monitor, update, horizon scan and evaluate wellbeing programmes is provided in vivid detail, along with suggestions for application based on empirical evidence. The factors that affect mental health are many, but in terms of research one can break them down into components that provide personal triggers for poor mental health. There are numerous other issues that can also impact on one's working life, and the chapter explores how one can apply an abundance of research to construct a framework for managing, monitoring and evaluating wellbeing in the workplace, and how one can implement wellbeing in your workplace by creating a wellbeing framework.
