ABSTRACT
Before wealth can be created, human beings have to learn to work together, and if there is to be subsequent progress, new forms of organisation have to be developed. While we typically associate economic growth with technological development, organisational innovation has played an equal if not more important role since the beginning of the industrial revolution.
