ABSTRACT
After all, the ways economic activities are organized, and the ways they link up with other institutions provide crucial ingredients of the setup of the whole social fabric. I do not think one is exaggerating by suggesting that understanding them better will give us also a better understanding of how contemporary democratic systems work, and also better ways to preserve and defend them.
