ABSTRACT

Informating encourages people to examine information closely and see how it is used within various organizings. They would argue that information sharing is the essence of human organizing. In Technology Actor, Network Theory, a technology is understood as constituted by a network of people, machines, and organized relationships. To demonstrate feasibility further, people makes explicit in this chapter a set of alternative values that they see as implicit in these practices. Moreover, participation is central to the pursuit of all the other values outlined here and thus to thinking beyond capital. The benefits of taking a processual approach to re-engineering the organization depend upon achieving broad participation in making it happen. The social and the technological are understood to co-construct each other. The various forms of technological Social constructivism (SC) emerged initially in the academic field first called science, technology, and society, or science and technology studies.
