ABSTRACT
I am beginning to know the meaning of the phrase ‘life is a journey not a blueprint’. But there are emerging patterns that seem downright evolutionary. I’ll return to this matter in the Postscript, but before that let’s finish the journey. I will do this in four ways that occurred in parallel in these last five years. First, what is evolving in Ontario in the post Dalton years? Second, what about the surprising (or was it inevitable) uptake of the right drivers on the part of California? Third, my continued love affair with practitioners. Fourth, how did I get involved in the next pedagogical revolution that we call Deep Learning? In the Postscript I will return to the global scene with some final comments.
