ABSTRACT

Although participant race and ethnicity varied, the question of culture was not addressed as a separate issue. The existence of adversities created through race and religion was not the focus of this study; however, each participant was viewed in the context of those unique and individual qualities she brought to the research. If culture, race, or religion played a significant role in a participants’ identification as bisexual, it was explored as part of that participant’s journey (L. Brooks, Inman, Klinger, Malouf, & Kaduvettoor, 2010). There is great potential for further research to investigate how ethnicity may affect our findings.
