ABSTRACT

Play in natural environments allows you to explore a variety of elements that raise children’s interest. Sticks, tree trunks, small twigs, rocks, soil, pine cones, leaves, moss, living beings, among others, enhance different activities, promoting curiosity and the exploratory impetus. Often, what Nature offers spontaneously and unpredictably is more interesting to children than manufactured plastic objects with a unique purpose. Natural elements are multisensory, enabling different discoveries based on the interests and characteristics of each child (Woolley & Lowe 2013).
