ABSTRACT

I hope you’ve enjoyed this book and have found it useful. Research is ever changing and as I come to the end of writing I’m struck by how much more there is to know, learn and say about doing research. Since there is so much to discuss, you may want to share your questions and solutions with others after reading the Research Companion. You are very welcome to unpack, critique or discuss issues raised in this book, particularly following the invitation right at the start to “take it, break it, and remake it”. I don’t expect you to agree with everything shared here and you may have your own insights, experiences or skills to offer about doing research in the social sciences, health or development that you would like to tell others about. You can do this via the Research Companion:
