ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the second part of this book. The second part of the book begins with differentiate between a complex and complexity, which is essential for a consideration of sport analytics. Analytics uses a complex of formal methods for the calculation of decision making (DM) strategies, based on the probabilities of possible outcomes. The book is dedicated to a description of different complexes that are highly essential for sport analytics, which are connected to the multi-level structure of sport organizations in individual and team games. It relates to DM in sport performance and management as a complex theoretical and practical problem. The book deals with a general introduction to the issue of complexity and with the special peculiarities of complex systems in sports and games. It discusses the self-organization, pro-activeness, emergency, risk and environments as 'agents' that influence complex systems.
