ABSTRACT

The missing piece in some human resources projects is communication of results to the proper audiences and use of those results to drive change, improvement, and optimization. Too often, the project team delivers results to the client and fails to present data to other stakeholders who need to understand the project’s implications. Every project should result in some sort of improvement. The HR team should take the responsibility for ensuring that improvement occurs. Sometimes a project uncovers problems or barriers that inhibit success, and the HR team must remove these in order to move forward. They must monitor these improvements and changes and report them in the spirit of complete accountability for the project. This chapter presents the different ways to communicate results, identifies various audiences and the rationale for communicating to them, and provides details about appropriate communication content. In addition, it focuses on following through and driving improvement.
