ABSTRACT
Boulder Associates has specialized exclusively in healthcare and senior living design since being founded in 1983. The company’s hands-on approach focuses on one goal: to become a leader in design for health and aging by establishing itself as trusted adviser to its clients. Primary products and services include all phases of planning and design delivery from existing facility evaluation, master planning and briefing, to detailed design, as well as interior, furnishing and graphic design, budgeting and scheduling, wayfinding and LEED certification coordination. Boulder Associates staff found achieving reliability to be easier than lookahead planning. However, people who practised lookahead planning achieved higher TA percentages over time, indicating that lookahead planning can be taught and improved. Boulder Associates recognizes an opportunity to leverage existing data. By indexing and filtering data from existing internal sources, the firm is working to create various dashboards to review, monitor and project various aspects of the practice.
