ABSTRACT

The Quality Performance Index (QPI) has been developed to build healthy competition between contractors and to identify which ones are in need of improvement. The purpose of Right-First-Time Metrics procedure is to describe the metrics, targets and process for the collection, analysis and reporting of data associated with the Corporate Quality and Right-First-Time metrics. The Construction Quality Plan and associated requirements, procedures and instructions are applicable to activities during the construction phase of the project from the time of site mobilization until each completed structure, system or component is tested, commissioned, accepted for turnover. Crossrail recognized that they needed certain components in the development of the quality culture. Key steps in this were the creation of a Quality Vision and a Quality Model with Quality and Integrity tied together in clear simple messages for the staff to get the right behaviours.
