ABSTRACT
Several years ago I carried out some work in a Year 5 class in Leicester. The class I was working with included children from a wide variety of back - grounds. I was interested in the group posing their own problems and using their own mathematical skills to come up with solutions. One group suggested carrying out a survey into attitudes towards racism.
