ABSTRACT
The Environmental Permitting system implements the requirements of the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Directive which applies to the more complex and potentially polluting industries and deals with any likely significant pollutant emission to air, water or land. It also addresses noise, energy efficiency, waste minimisation, prevention of accidental emissions and site protection and restoration.
