ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book focuses on practitioner–researcher collaborations. It examines the research and topics that can produce useful findings and identify issues that would be of interest to the museum sector. The book examines the value of theory in the museum learning research and practice, and the methodologies and methods that have been applied in the studying of museum learning. It focuses on the debate in museum theory and practice. The book sheds some light onto different aspects of the relationship between museums and society, and the value museums have in people's lives. It addresses the intellectual and social problems with which the museum learning field engages. Finally, the visitor experience is always at the core of museum practice, this practitioner–researcher relation can also benefit visitors.
