The better the instrument, the more possibilities it gives to its player. A second-rate out-of-tune piano is fine for a drunken gypsy dance but not for Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. Bach and Beethoven require a Steinway, but you can also play a gypsy dance on it if you wish.
