ABSTRACT

Born in Shanghai, Xie Xing graduated from the National Institute of Art in Taiwan in 1956. Most of her poems were published in one of Taiwan's major literary journals, The Blue Star, in the 1980s. Her book of poems The Persian Cat was published in 1990, followed by For the Blossoms to Hear in the same year. In 1991 she was invited to participate in the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
