ABSTRACT
The flag flying over the Xiniu Range was supported at the base by a rock. The hills near Xiniu pond where the Society of God Worshippers had hidden their weapons were known as the Xiniu Range. New initiates into the Society of God Worshippers were required to relinquish all of their wealth and property to the Sacred Treasury. Hong Xiuquan continued to command all of the military forces of the Society of God Worshippers. Lian Liwen had often related his personal view to Xiuquan, that in cooperating with the Heaven and Earth Society, they had to choose from their counterparts carefully. As Xiuquan had been saying, those who joined the Society of God Worshippers had to abide by its practices. Xiuquan led the prayers and announced that those who died in battle would be summoned by God to live in heaven.
