ABSTRACT

The Internet is one of the historian’s newest tools. How can the Internet help you and other historians do your work? What are the benefits and risks of Internet research? Clearly the Internet places more information in the hands of historians than ever before. Internet sites abound for every specialized interest imaginable. You can search the bibliographies and catalogs of libraries and archives all over the world. Recent runs of journals exist online. Old documents are cataloged online and are even available to print out on your own computer. The Internet is a gold mine of both primary and secondary sources for the historian.
