ABSTRACT
As you are aware, interviewing is hard work. A t the end of the interview, the interviewee is tired and so are you. But there is o ne more task that must be completed, and that is your transcripti on of the interview tape and/or rewriting of your notes. If you do not perform this task soon after the interview, you will lose all sense of nuance, interpretation of body language, and memory of linguisti c t ics and pauses, along with your feeling o f where you needed more information. The following model of transcription may prove helpful to you. Consistency in this process will make the actual case writing easier.
