ABSTRACT

A coauthored project can take special advantage of each writer's particular skills. Perhaps you are great at structuring the case narrative and your partner has a very clear handle on the theoretical issues necessary for the Instructor's Manual. There are three main benefits to working with a partner: increased productivity, improved personal learning, and enhanced collegiality. Writing with a team is different from writing with just one coauthor. There are several distinct roles that team members must play during the interview process. One person should be designated the contact. Another person should be designated the interviewer. A critical path identifies all activities that must take place to attain a specific goal, estimates the time needed to perform the activities, and documents the relationships among the activities. Once one have decided on a collaboration system, one must build the initial format by setting up a Materials Folder to store all templates, protocols, data, and general information for easy access and use.
