ABSTRACT

The process of writing cases is demanding for academic researchers. It is even more difficult for undergraduate students to grasp the concepts and understand the underl ying theory that makes cases valuable learning tools. At first exposure, students may not see case writing as an extraordinaril y interesting and worthwhile pursuit. They may not be willin g to deal wi th th e many challenging experiences they are likely to encounter during the course of the case writi ng project. When you question the wisdom of pursuing this demanding work with undergraduates, remind yourself of it s many benefits for student growth. The "big si x" benefits for students a re:
