ABSTRACT
The focus of this chapter is on the RPE critical analysis of the dynamics of the capitalist economy. Our discussion will be limited to three of the most important of these capitalist tendencies: poverty and inequality, imperialism, and economic crises. These contradictions, along with others, are seen as serious enough faults in capitalism for radicals to question the long-run viability and desirability of capitalism.
