ABSTRACT
The only relevant meta-analysis that I am aware of regarding structural contingency theory is the one by Donaldson (1996) himself (cited in Chapter 33 of this volume). Based on this and other data to be considered later I give structural contingency theory a three-star evaluation. Organizational behavior as a whole yields an importance rating of 4.33 (see Miner 2006b). A discussion of this specific theory is contained within Miner (2006a) in Chapter 16.
