ABSTRACT
Last year, we issued a business report of our Society, dealing with affairs during the “preparatory” and “interim business” periods. 1 Now this “Second Business Report of the Society” covers activities during our “first half year,” that is, from the inauguration of the Society in September of last year to the end of March this year. The Changsha Cultural Book Society opened at the beginning of last September, and seven months have elapsed from then until the end of March this year, or one month more than was stipulated in the “Outline of the Organization of Our Society,” which provided for “one report every six months.” 2 This has been done for the sake of greater convenience in the accounting process. From now on, the rule of “one report every six months” laid down in our Organizational Outline will be observed.
