ABSTRACT
As legend has it, when God was dividing up the world between the nations, the Abkhazians missed their chance to select a homeland because they were sleeping off a festive drunk. When they awoke, everything was gone with the exception of that part of the world that the Almighty had been reserving for himself, which was, of course, literally heaven on earth.
