ABSTRACT
Recession is no time to be looking for your first full-time job. Recession means that the total output (gross domestic product, or GDP) of the economy falls, workers are laid off and become unemployed, pay raises are smaller for those who remain employed, company revenues and profits fall, the stock market usually falls, and most important of all (I’m sure you will agree), college graduates seeking their first full-time jobs have difficulty finding them.
