ABSTRACT

To individuals, economic abundance means the wherewithal to participate fully in all community activities and to share in all community values involved in the social provisioning process. Remember that abundance does not mean free goods for everybody. That would be absolute abundance and it is impossible. Every person cannot have everything. This is just as impossible as everyone having more than everyone else. The impossible is not meaningful. When we discuss abundance, we mean full access to the knowledge, skills, tools, and materials used in the community. Abundance is relative, not absolute. Abundance is relative to the technological level of the community. The meaning of abundance changes as technology changes. It means one thing in the Stone Age, another in the Space Age.
