ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the autobiography of Carolina Maria de Jesus, nicknamed Bitita, which includes details about her experiences during her return to the city. In the city, life among those people who did not respect each other was horrible. Carolina's family found work on the small farm of the Japanese man, Napoleao, weeding rice. Carolina legs became covered with sores. Because of sores, she cannot able to work as a domestic. One day, there appeared a black man looking for employees to work in the coffee harvest in the state of Sao Paulo at Santa Cruz farm and the owner was Mr. Oliveira Dias, Lolo. Carolina sores healed, she went to work in the city. There's a minority to work the land, and a majority to consume. But the little people struggled a lot to see if they manage to live from agriculture. The country that has the most land on the globe is Brazil, people already be settled.
