ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the autobiography of Carolina Maria de Jesus, nicknamed Bitita, which includes details about her experiences about the safe. Carolina got a job in Mr. Emilio Bruxelas's house. Mr. Brunel's bought a safe in Sao Paulo. Mr. Bruxelas took the paper, read it, and closed the safe. And he turned the numbers again, the safe opened. Some days later, Mr. Emilio Bruxelas lost the paper that had the explanation for opening the safe. Mr. Jozias de Almeida told him, Carolina is very intelligent. If she heard the secret of the safe, she has memorized it. Then, Mr. Emilio Bruxelas decided to find out, and he looked for her in the kitchen and he stared at her. He took a piece of paper and gave it to her. Carolina wrote down what she had heard and she gave it to him. Bruxelas went running to open the safe and safe was opened.
