ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the rise of drone warfare. It traces the origin and development of drone technology, how drones work, how they have been deployed, the benefits of drone technology and the range of issues surrounding their use. It concludes with a consideration of the future of drone warfare as the technologies both advance and proliferate.
