ABSTRACT

T he social and educational significance of pugnacity, aggressiveness, and anger m ay be expressed in the following questions : Is m an essentially a fighter ? M ust there always be wars ? Is he so aggressive th a t harm onious co-operation cannot be expected ? M ust boys always be bullies and oppress the meek ? Can we enlist aggressiveness in the service of higher aims than th a t o f m erely ‘dow ning’ others?
