ABSTRACT

This is a somewhat specialized topic, and for a technical study o f the subject the reader m ust be referred to books and journals dealing specifically w ith it. T he technique of vocational guidance has been enormously im proved through the pioneer work of the N ational Institu te of Industrial Psychology. A dequate guidance involves a knowledge not only of the best tests of general and special abilities bu t also of the particu lar abilities and personality qualities needed for different occupations. H ere we shall discuss only the broader aspects which are of most interest to the teacher.1
