ABSTRACT

Marxism has opened up a new era for mankind to seek the prospect of socialism. The presence and competition between different social systems are the historical facts that objectively existed in the twentieth century. Anti-globalization movements exist in the contemporary world. When the heads of seven Western countries gathered in Italy, they were stopped by the anti-globalization protesters, which had even resulted in bloodshed. Today's capitalism is different from the capitalism in Marx's age, and it is more modern, more focused and more global. In the cultural field, cultural modernization in today's world seems to move towards the same standards and continues to converge and integrate in many respects, such as the metrological unity, the creation of Esperanto, the use of English by more and more countries and the popularity of western-style clothes and handshake ritual. Literature is an important carrier of culture and a most important medium for the transmission of culture.
