ABSTRACT

Human securitisation of migration and programs of social integration acted as preparatory stages for the unready subjects of neoliberal government – the Roma, releasing domains of subjectification, mainly issued by the moral economic order of neoliberalism, built around axiomatics of the market and proliferated by worldwide capital’s commandment. Implicitly, the Roma population became an epistemologically quantifiable, manipulable artefact construed by expert knowledge, able to register regularities and variations in behaviour. This knowledge production around an object of study has been seamlessly engaged in a process of truth making, reconfiguring the subject of governance.
