ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the activities of the children to understand their emotions. It explains that we all have different feelings at different times, depending on lots of things, such as whether we are well or ill, whether we are doing something we like or having to do something we don't like, and on how people treat us. There are separate activities on feelings of anger, guilt, grief, anxiety and embarrassment. The chapter helps to understand how people show their feelings through their expressions and body language. It discusses how feeling angry can sometimes make us lose our temper and do something we later regret. The chapter explores how some worries and feelings of anxiety are less serious than others. It helps to identify situations in which people feel embarrassment and to discuss how to deal with embarrassment. The chapter suggests that some situations in which people feel embarrassed are more embarrassing than others, it helps for handling stress.
