ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the different types of bullying from name-calling to cyberbullying. It looks at why people bully, who gets bullied, how it feels to be bullied and how to deal with bullying. The chapter understands the different kinds of bullying and explains three types of bullying- verbal, emotional and physical and drawing up lists of the different types of bullying. It discusses what it feels like to be bullied and the reasons why people become bullies. The chapter considers different ways of dealing with bullying and what advice to give someone who is being bullied. It defines cyberbullying and discusses what the victim of cyberbullying to do. Prompt the students to include impersonation in their definition in addition to using the internet and other forms of digital technology to harass, threaten, embarrass or target someone.
