ABSTRACT
This concluding chapter brings together the research we have considered in order to highlight some of the main issues in training behaviour therapists. Broadly speaking, these include instructional methods, evaluative procedures and the implementation problems entailed by training. So far we have discussed them with respect to parents, nurses and teachers. We will now integrate the research to offer an overview of mediator training. This is a relatively rare perspective, since supervisors have tended to refer to the literature within their own areas rather than drawing on the potentially relevant work of their colleagues in others. One might equally 'Yell add that the research on mediator training has itself been somewhat isolated from more general issues, such as the instruction of supervisors and the experimental status of the work in relation to the general field of behaviour therapy.
