ABSTRACT
The subscription list of 150 units was quickly filled and the waiting list was nearly 100 names long. When a delegation from MCI went to the Israeli Office on Aging, known as Eshel, they were enthusiastically received, because having an elderly group design and build their own housing was unheard of in that country, and seems to be uncommon elsewhere. The government of Israel agreed to help fund the project.
