ABSTRACT
There are several definitions for an architectural program. Pena1 called a program “a statement of an architectural problem.” Sanoff2 calls a program “a communicable statement of intent,” and “a prescription for a desired set of events influenced by local constraints, stating a set of desired conditions and the methods for achieving those conditions.” A program may vary in detail, but the basic function is to define what is needed in a facility project. A comprehensive program will lead to a good facility solution.
