ABSTRACT

My daughter is just coming up to three, and already knows her numbers to 50. She also knows all of the letters of the alphabet, shapes and colours etc. and can recognise many common words. While I’ve enjoyed teaching her these things, I’m worried that I’m being pushy. What if, when she gets to school, she is bored because she knows it already? I want her to enjoy learning, not be resentful of studying because I’ve been pushing her too hard. How can I help her to do well, without being a pushy parent?
